Put your public pages on your own domain

Connect a domain like help.yourcompany.com in Settings, add one DNS record, and your board, changelog and Help Center move there once it shows Live.

Your board, changelog and Help Center live at teem.so/b/your-organization until you give them a domain of your own. Once you connect one, your users see help.yourcompany.com and never see teem.so.

Only owners can connect or remove a domain.

Set it up

  1. Pick a subdomain you own, like help.yourcompany.com or feedback.yourcompany.com. A subdomain works with every DNS provider; a bare domain like yourcompany.com often can't take the record below.

  2. In Settings → Domain, enter it and click Connect.

  3. teem shows one DNS record. Add it where you manage your domain's DNS:

    Type Name Target
    CNAME help.yourcompany.com customers.teem.so
  4. If your DNS is on Cloudflare, set the record to DNS only (grey cloud), not Proxied.

  5. Wait. teem checks every minute and the status turns from Pending to Live, usually within a few minutes. Click Check now if you don't want to wait for the next check.

You don't need a certificate. teem gets one for your domain once the record resolves, and HTTPS works from the first visit.

What changes once it's Live

  • Short paths. Your board is at /, and the rest sit at /changelog, /help and /search on your domain.
  • Old links keep working. Anyone who opens a teem.so/b/your-organization link lands on the same page on your domain, with the same filters and search.
  • Emails and the widget follow. Status emails to voters, changelog links and the widget's "Open full article" link all point at your domain.

Your widget install doesn't change. The script still loads from teem.so, so leave your script tag as it is.

Remove it

Click Remove in Settings → Domain. Your pages go back to teem.so/b/your-organization right away, and old teem.so links stop redirecting. Delete the DNS record afterwards; until you do, the domain shows a plain "not set up" page.

From an agent or your own code

An owner's token can do the same over REST: PUT /api/v1/organization/domain with a hostname, POST /api/v1/organization/domain/check, and DELETE /api/v1/organization/domain.
