Why didn't my Slack reply post?
teem posts a Slack reply only when it's a new message in the conversation's thread, from someone whose Slack email matches their teem account.
When teem refuses a reply, it usually tells you in the thread, in a message only you can see. Find yours below.

When nothing happens
teem only reads new messages posted inside the thread it started for a conversation. It ignores:
- messages posted to the channel instead of the thread
- edits to a message you'd already sent
- messages from bots and other integrations
- threads teem didn't start
Reply again, in the thread, as a new message. Keep it under 4,000 characters, and split a long answer in two.
If you just changed the email on your Slack profile, give it up to an hour. teem remembers each Slack user's email for that long.
When teem can't post to the channel at all
Settings → Slack shows Slack needs attention, with the reason underneath:
- "teem can no longer post to that channel." Send
/invite @teemin the channel, or choose another one. - "Slack access was revoked." or "Slack permissions changed." An owner presses Reconnect and approves every permission Slack asks for.
Owners also get an email when this happens. After the fix, an owner presses Retry on any conversation that shows Slack needs attention.
Two things that look like bugs
A conversation has no Slack thread. teem only sends conversations to Slack once the visitor has given a name and email. The thread appears when they do.
A reply from Slack didn't reopen the conversation. It reached the visitor, but a resolved conversation stays resolved when you answer from Slack. Reopen it from the inbox if you want it counted as open.
