Images in your conversations, and teem behind your own Help link

Send and receive images

Your visitors can attach images in the widget's chat. They pick a file, paste one or drop it in, up to four per message at 10 MB each. You see them inline in the inbox, and you can reply with an image that shows up in their widget.

Email works the same way. When a visitor replies by email with photos attached, teem adds them to the conversation with the widget's limits and notes in the thread how many attachments it left out. An iPhone photo arrives as a JPG, and teem skips the logos people carry in their email signatures.

  • teem strips location and camera data from each image before saving it.
  • Deleting a conversation deletes its images too.
  • In Slack, a message with an image links to the conversation in teem, where you can see it.

Open teem from your own Help link

If your app already has a Help or Feedback link, you can drop teem's floating button. Turn off Show the floating button under Settings → Widget and wire your link to teem.open().

The panel opens in the corner with its own close button, and closing it puts focus back on your link. If your team replies while the panel is closed, a note in the corner reads "1 reply from the Acme team", with your organization's name, until the visitor opens it.

Connect ChatGPT or Claude before you have an account

Someone new who connects ChatGPT or Claude to teem signs up on a page that names the app, creates their organization and lands back on the consent screen to finish. They used to end up in the dashboard and had to start the connection over.

Smaller changes

  • Shared links to your board, changelog and Help Center preview with your logo, and the browser tab shows it too.
  • The widget shows a visitor's email only when they typed it in themselves, with a link to fix a typo. A visitor your app names with identify() sees no email line, so they don't wonder where teem got their address.
  • Invite @teem to a channel in Slack and it connects that channel and posts a hello there. Settings shows it connected without you touching anything.
