What teem captures with a bug report
The page, browser, device and screen size come with every message, so you rarely need to ask what someone was using.
When someone picks Report a bug in the widget, they describe what went wrong and teem attaches where they were. The same details come with every conversation, so a question about a broken button carries them too.
| Detail | What you see |
|---|---|
| Page | The path and query string they were on |
| Browser | Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge |
| Operating system | Windows, macOS, iOS, Android or Linux |
| Device | Phone or desktop, judged from the screen width |
| Viewport | Width × height in pixels |
| Country | From their connection |
| Local time | From their time zone |
| Article | The Help Center article they came from, if they pressed Still need help? |
You'll find these under where they are on the right of the conversation. A bug report also gets a bug badge in the inbox, and a "New bug report" heading in Slack with a link to the page.
Who can see it
Only your team. A bug report is a private conversation between that person and you, and it never appears on your public board. The widget tells them so before they write: "Only you and the team can read this conversation."
What teem doesn't capture
No screenshots, console logs, recordings or keystrokes. If you need one, ask in your reply. They'll see it in the widget, or by email if they've left your app.
